This "mobile mural" was done for the Easter Seals' project for 2012 at the Girls Inc. in Manchester, NH.  It resides in their entry way hall for all the kids there to enjoy!  The quote reads one of my favorite sayings from Seuss:  "Today you are you, that is truer than true.  There is no one alive who is youer than you!"

catching up....

I haven't posted in a while, due to lack of time, but thought I better add a few things before I catch heck :)

Funky Sunflowers painted on a Recycled old window, few lady bugs flyin by..... this photo does this painting NO JUSTICE. much more vibrant...

Another recycled window. The contrast on this one is amazing. I have to admit, I don't really want this one to sell... I like it a whole bunch!

A day at York Beach brought inpiration for this window. I made many sketches of children playing at the beach, and thought (especially up here in NH during the winter) who WOULDN'T want to see a calm, warm ocean scene out their window when it's really 2 below zero with snowbanks all around.... :)

Mural Makeover

BEFORE:

I was requested to help "revamp" this current mural in a toddler daycare area of a church. They were looking for something more bright, and cheerful. I didn't have much time to work on this project, but did get a few changes in... and touched up some of what was there... another day is required to finish this project :)

AND AFTER ONE Afternoon:

Dugas Hill Farm Signs

I handpainted these signs (2 of them) double-sided, no stencils, for a client. They are for outdoor display, so they are varnished for durablity in this wonderful weather NH provides!

My friend Nancy gave me all these windows I've been painting, and we thought that she should definitely have an "old piece" of her home and so this is one of her old windows, made new with a scene of simple white birches.

The Old Man

I got a little inspiration for doing the "Old Man" from my friend and neighbor Stu, who is a stone mason, and loves basically anything ROCK. So, with his inspiration, a bit of my native New Hampshire heritage and fun twist on this tribute to the now fallen Old Man of the Mountains, I did this old 4-pane window. This sold at my last craft fair, and I believe it has found a great home!
